In the long grass

One of the heartening delights of gardening is the great capacity of the garden to surprise. I thought I had lost this pretty double cuckoo flower which was given to me bya friend some tears ago. It had originated in her father's garden. It grows in the wild section of my lawn and failed to appear for two or three years until reappearing in three places thus week.
