Western Tanager

I saw this beautiful juvenile Western Tanager yesterday, and I was happy he showed up again today. I haven't seen one of these birds in years. Can you imagine how excited I was?

My daughter and I got pedicures this morning, we did quick grocery shopping, and then went home for lunch. After lunch, we worked in the yard for a few hours; our daughter kicked butt in the garden. She is a pruning whiz. We got a lot done; I am delighted. It started to rain just as we were ready to go back into the house, perfect timing!!  

A friend of ours caught a salmon today and brought us fish which my husband made for dinner. It was delicious!  I am blessed with a spouse who is a fabulous chef.
