There are some qualities that one hopes one's children won't inherit, and, for me, principle amongst those is procrastination. No danger of that with Abi, who having spent all day on her feet working, came home, had a shower and a bite to eat, and then cracked on with some revision. Incredible.

For myself, I had a much more relaxed day. The Minx and I met Dan for breakfast, and it was so lovely to see him, and then I did my German homework on the train home in anticipation of my lesson at five o'clock. And that's classic procrastinator behaviour right there; relying on a deadline as an incentive!
