Small Heath

A lovely mild day today so we took a gentle walk up to Hampsfell Hospice.  There is a good scattering of Early Purple Orchids up there but they are just beginning to go over the top now.  Above is one of a pair of Small Heath butterflies that we saw dancing above the grass.
