When she was 6 years old, she and her mother were abducted and held hostage for 9 days.  She said when the police broke into the house where they were being held, they were carrying guns and cursing, and it was hard to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys.  She still lives with that trauma.

Her arm tattoo reads:  As long as there is someone in the sky to protect me, there is no one on earth who can break me.
