A bridge and an abbey (again)

Edisford Bridge, just on the edge of Clitheroe and Whalley Abbey where we cycled to today.   Another excellent route planned by Gill.

Whalley (pronounced Wore ... Lee) is an interesting little place - the abbey (in the extra) being well worth a visit.  There is much more to it than the photo shows,  just a courtyard from the Tudor period after the monastic part of the abbey had been sold to Richard Assheton.
