Dahlias

We let the dahlias winter over in their raised bed because I was just not able to do the work necessary to dig the tubers up and put them away for the winter. So, we decided to let the chips fall where they may and see what happens leaving them in the ground. It was a mild winter with minimal snow and no frost in the ground.
Today we were happy to see two of our 8 dahlia plants sending up shoots. We are hopeful that the other 6 will soon be sending up their own shoots.
