Almost

Weii it was almost the the perfect finish. Following up on yesterday's blip of our two horses racing in the same race at Ashburton today.
The weather was miserable and the track very wet and slushy. I got to the track to find out that Anything Goes (Westie) had a developing hoof abscess but he could still race. Sargent Best (Sarge) was fine but drawing 1 he was in the wettest part of the track.
After all that Westie (in two tone green) won and Sarge ( in light blue) ran third. We were well looked after by the club president after Westie's win with drinks and food and left the track very happy despite being cold and a little wet.
