Another entry for my occasional list of good names for a British pub. Today I offer you The slugs and dead man's fingers.
In case you are wondering, dead man's fingers are the fruiting bodies of the fungus Xylaria polymorpha. It is a saprobic fungus, that is to say that it gets its nutrition from dead and decaying organic matter.
