West Mersea boats

We made it!  Decided to take the morning pretty easy and set off after lunch - arriving in West Mersea after 3pm, which meant we could check straight in to our room at the Victory.  Had a quick cuppa, then went out for a nice walk around the village and onto the beach.  We booked a table for dinner, too, at the Coast Inn. 

Back to the room for a short while, then out again for dinner.  Our first meal out since before the pandemic began - a momentous occasion!  And it was really lovely - great food and a nice atmosphere, and just so nice to be sitting and chatting across a table in a restaurant again.  I got quite tipsy-happy from my single glass of white wine (I'm a lightweight), and even Tim had a couple of beers.  We went back to the Victory after and had another couple of drinks (well, Tim did; I had a lime and soda), first in the beer garden, then indoors when the evening sun got too much for Tim (he's a sunshine lightweight).
