Spotted this weevil on my garden table so ran in to get my camera.  Managed to get one shot off before it disappeared, so not the sharpest image but just loved the colour combination!

Not hungover but I am tired...  It was a late night!  But just the tonic I needed!  And no gin was involved...!

Visit from Dale - who was hungover and ate me out of house and home (nothing changes)!  While she was here she got a call form her friend who went to China in the November before the pandemic took hold.  He's been teaching and has managed to avoid Covid until a few weeks ago.  He went to an island with some friends for a holiday and tested positive.  They were put in to quarantine for 3 weeks and have been treated terribly.  The stories wold make you angry.  And the latest is he has been arrested but let out on bail... one of the friends was apparently "the first to take Covid to this island" and they are being accused of deliberately spreading it to the island.  Yet they all tested negative before they flew out there.  He's a bit shell shocked and a bit terrified of what has happened and has been sending stuff to his family and Dale as evidence of the way they have been treated.  He has been in touch with the British Embassy but there's nothing they can do unless he is formally arrested and imprisoned - which is still a possibility.  His time in China has been great until now and all he wants to do is get home - so we are hopeful he gets deported to expedite his journey home!

The dog got an early evening/late afternoon walk so pizza in the oven and feet up I think!  And hopefully Monday brings more calm!
