Grey Heron

The young one flew over to the grass gave herself a shake and fluffed up her feathers before eating. Since the chicks have fledged she isn't needing to eat as much, which is good as the male is now a regular. He flew down from the far end of the loch to the midway point. What a wingspan he has!  The crow also appeared and had some.
I also saw one of the chicks today. It flew over the young one, I  thought it was going to land but it just called out and flew on. My camera was in my bag as I was feeding the young one!
