Leo takes shelter

Some of the neighbourhood cats like to relax on the old bird table. Since the birds don’t use it and it has definitely seen better days, it’s nice that it has some use. It was particularly appreciated by Leo yesterday after he had been chased by a large collie dog that had got loose in the back green. Chaos reigned for about ten minutes before the owner managed to get the dog back - not before it had run all over my garden and mown down some rather nice flowers. Neither I nor Leo was very happy and he later decided the bird table was the safest place to be. He was back having a meditative moment there again today.

Needless to say, the birds keep well out of the way.
