After being very little help during their stay in the storage unit, remaining trapped during the initial lockdown, the non-orthogonal original loft shelving system finally disappeared sometime last year, having never made it back to the loft, being supplanted for our last year here by a set of three TROFAST units containing various bits of household ironmongery. The shelves were last used in what was our room before the Redecoration, shortly after which it became the kids' room but without the wonky shelves as they only stood up when anchored to something and the walls had all just been replaced. The heavy ladder hooks which had helped hold the wonky shelves up from the roof trusses are safely packed away in one of the boxes labelled "GARAGE" which we took round to the new place's GARAGE this morning, along with the potted bamboo and the Elsie Inglis memorial plastic drawer units, currently empty but potentially also useful in the GARAGE for sorting out all our bits of random crap into more organised drawersful of bits of crap.
