There was a plan for a Sunday scone, after last week's success. Fyvie Castle reported a closed cafe on its web site, so we went to Duff House.  Found a huge crowd of cars for a kids rugby event, a lucky parking space, and a very pleasant wooded walk to the Bridge. On return, tongues hanging out for tea and a scone, we found the House cafe marked closed too. Poor show. The cafes we remembered in Banff were all closed on a Sunday afternoon; found the last pack of rather industrial scones in Morrisons. Tea at home.
