Whatcom Chorale Concert

Shelly and I spent several hours this afternoon enjoying the Whatcom Chorale and Symphonia concert at the Mt Baker Theater. Cynthia, aka Connections, gave us her tickets. She and Phil couldn’t attend. We enjoyed the concert very much. I sang with that group for 17 years, so it took me back. There is nothing like singing in a choir with orchestra. You are surrounded by the beauty of the music that you and all those around you are making. The concert today was wonderful. They ended with a choral fantasy featuring a young musician who used to live here and is now based in Vancouver BC. He’s was and is an amazing maker of music. When I hear him I think of the young Mozart.
