Sad

Went for the early Thursday walk as usual and while we were out got a message from a lady we see frequently, who walks even earlier, she had just had to get into the pond to rescue a cygnet which had got caught in some netting.  Fortunately there was a fisherman nearby who had fended off the cygnet's Dad while she cut baby free, but when she got it out it was not looking well.  She'd contacted the Swan Rescue and Friends of St Ives, sadly when we arrived at the pond there was no sign of cygnet number 7.
