A lovely weekend

This weekend has been lovely and not just because of the weather. Saturday was our wedding anniversary and Sunday was my birthday.
Saturday started early with a 6.30am guided walk in our village with a local ornithologist, listening to birds and identifying them. It was great fun, a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours. We identified 21 species and finished off with free tea and croissants. Then we had a fantastic meal at our local pub, and the evening was spent watching Eurovision!
Sunday saw me celebrating my birthday with several other women on a flower farm, doing some yoga, picking flowers and more tea and cake. Again the weather was fantastic despite the gloomy forecast.
