Sandwick

Back to our nearest sandy beach. It's nearly an hour's walk, but then we can sit and enjoy it for a while before we have to head back.

Lots of birds en route, tiny pippets and skylarks, curlews, lapwings and lots of oystercatchers. Plenty of cows, sheep and lambs and three Shetland ponies too. The cows have just recently started being put back outside, having been inside since October. They must have enjoyed feeling the sun on their backs.

I have done nothing to this picture except straighten the horizon. These are the glorious colours of Orkney!
