Not Portobello Beach Edinburgh

This is a contemporary iconic landmark in Social Realist Warsaw - The Palace of Culture. It was a gift to the Polish nation from Josef Stalin post 1945. He then asked the Poles to pay for it. It was built on the site of the giant and notorious Warsaw Ghetto. Today is the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The sacrifice and hardship of those years must never be forgotten.
