Catkins

About five years ago I gathered a few a few birch catkins while we were out for a walk in the woods. I brought on these seeds in pots on my kitchen windowsill. Of the ones that have survived thus far I've got one in my back garden and two in the front. They've grown up a bit now and I get a flush of pride when they spurt out greenery at the start of another growing season.
