Lake Swimming

A day at work with a tricky Appraisal so it was a particular joy to have a treat lined up for the evening.

A carful headed off to Luxborough Lake where we joined The secret mermaid night swim and it was just totally and utterly wonderful. It was cold but not silly-cold.

In the dark, we could see everyone’s compulsory brightly-coloured tow float, their head torch and their swim cap and the water glistened. I can’t wait to go again. And totally unexpectedly, as we changed on the lake side, we were offered a G&T !!

Ha. Big smile. In fact, it was big smiles throughout!
