The Afternoon

I met a friend for coffee this morning and I had planned to take a photo of her but we got carried away chatting and somehow it did not happen. I still feel awkward getting the camera out in a restaurant/coffee shop and taking a photo - it's fine if it is a little pocket camera but my big DSLR tends to stand out a bit.

We met at a sweet little coffee shop called Quaich which I believe is a Scottish word for a kind of drinking cup? Such a pleasure to find an original coffee shop that is not part of one of the large chains serving bland coffee.

The day was a mixture of beautiful sunshine and clouds - but I loved the late afternoon light on the river, so that ended up being my blip for today.
