Last day - backblip
ROE DEER IN DEER PARK WOOD, RICHMONDSHIRE (Catterick)
We went on a mystery tour kindly and perfectly driven by Mr HB which took us on country roads and lanes up to Catterick Garrison where we passed by this group of Roe Deer looking far from their best. It appears that: The Winter coat is shed from April to May. Younger animals changing first. Whilst the winter coat is being shed, Roe take on a moth-eaten and unkempt appearance as their coat falls out in chunks, usually starting around the neck, revealing the summer coat underneath.
Richmond was our final destination where we had a good walk round this lovely town, tea and cake and feeling a little sad as it’s our last day together, but no doubt we’ll be sharing another caravan outing with them soon.
To celebrate our last night we had a slap up meal at the local pub – delicious.
