Sunset

Been one of those days. Washing machine not working. Can’t open door to remove clothes either. Luckily no water inside.

3 hours trying to get an appointment. John Lewis chat useless, so was their advice to ring the repairer. The repairer said warranty had expired (rubbish). Back to John Lewis Whatsapp, their press 1 option didn’t work. So called their Oxford St store (know the number off by heart from when we lived in London, and connected quickly to an efficient Customer Services chap who took the details and said contact Electrolux (Zanussi). Their ‘Chat’ said not under warranty and wouldn’t ‘accept’ the query. Back to JL who gave me a phone number. Finally 3 hours later, success and someone’s coming to look at the machine on Thursday. Phew.

Met Mr B with his gorgeous tennis partner at the Savoy. Drove there as tipping it down. Aspalls all round. I needed a drink by then. Blip of West Cliff Gardens, on the Cliff-top, taken on way back to the car. Sun now out.

Late (for us) supper. Shall unwind now, tired
