Sponsored Colour Run

Early trip to visit AJ as the wheelchair company were visiting to carry out an assessment (she is in a standard wheelchair and at 4’ 8 or 9 and around 5st 7lbs, she is restricted with her seating). She was not in a good place/mood when I arrived, not had her breakfast, not had her tablets, generally fed up. Managed to cheer up a bit. However not helped by the wheelchair company not attending. The home called to check, the assessor has covid ….. and so it continues. Another appoint has been made for next week. A good hug and kiss on leaving boosted her mood.

Caleb’s school carried out a sponsored run today after school. Each year of the school dressed in different colours - Reception colour was blue. They were split into two runs, KS1 and Early Years ran 1 mile; KS2 ran 2 miles. Great organised event, little warm up, lead cyclist taking the around the route and an end runner/Marshall. At the end, all children were awarded with a medal. Caleb was a little apprehensive, but managed to buddy up with someone to run with. However he had a little tumble (grazed hand and knee) on the way round, hence the not so jubilant face at the end holding his medal. At home, Austin provided the smiles and the medals of his proud brother.
