A view from St Swithin

The Castlegate

A view of the Catlegate with the Mercat Cross, the Salvation Army Citadel and at the back one of our very ugly city centre tower blocks. The city centre was poorly served by town planners in the 60s and this is an excellent example. As usual not many folk around the Castlegate which apart from the odd Hogmany bash is underused.
Decided to cycle home tonight up Union Street. Not a great idea and glad to arrive home in one piece.
