Home-made deer fence

When we first came here from Leith six years ago, we were thrilled whenever deer came into our garden. They were adorable! Then the buggers started eating my roses and also the tender blossom on the young fruits trees, and suddenly they weren't so adorable any more. The trouble with home-made jobs is that they aren't very good, the wind keeps blowing them down, and today I had to climb over the lower fence and push two of the panels back up - and then of course I found myself on the wrong side of the fence, on the outside looking in. A long walk round to get back into the garden.
