Texting In Black & White, London

It was a glorious day today so I had to make sure I escaped from my studio to soak up some sunshine. I do rather like the midday sun for photography purposes as it gives such sharp light and deep shadows. I spotted this girl lost in her phone and she was wearing shades of monochrome so the shot just lent itself to being in black and white.
With the extra shot, Stick Man Crossing, I originally thought the man was wielding a golf club (I didn't have my glasses on!) only to realise later it was a selfie stick. It's weird but I haven't seen someone use a selfie stick for years, particularly not while crossing the road!
