Pena Palace Sintra, Portugal

Further out from the village, you can walk but it is uphill all the way. As you can see it is brightly painted now, but in the past it wasn't.  We just bought garden tickets and missed the long queue to the house, but you could still see the outside and go up to all the courtyards and terraces for further views.
