Val Claret - it's not always sunny

This is the view of Val Claret from our digs in Tignes. It's a bit further up the mountains and I'm always struck by how out of place and weirdly desolate it looks from a distance - even though its busy, bright and 'happening' when you're there.
Today the weather came in and it looked even bleaker.
We only spent half the day up the mountains - due to very poor visibility; totally flat light, storm rolling in and snow. It was hard to define the trails, not the most relaxing riding. So back to the apartment, got the fire going and watched the snow falling outside. That was relaxing.
