Wednesday: Royal Presence

Prince Charles and Camilla were in town today and at the war memorial this morning.  My colleagues and I half debated going out to have a look but probably wouldn’t have got a glimpse of them anyway.  We didn’t from upstairs either (well, beyond the tops of their heads) but at least we saw the crowds.  To be honest, I was surprised they weren’t bigger (the crowds, not Charles and Camilla).  Maybe I shouldn’t be though - a recent poll suggested that Canada may also look to break away from the Crown, just like Barbados.

I felt like leaning out the window and warbling: ‘Yooohoo, remember me? Cooeee,’
