PARIS FOR LUNCH
...well, no, just some Glaswegians enjoying the sunshine outside GOMA.
Busy in the garden this morning - at least that's what I pretended until the Professor caught me lazing on the lounger, watching and photographing the birds. Chester has a lady friend and was busy feeding her while she perched on the pergola, looking rather fat and full of eggs.
Later I scraped off and shot into town for lunch with the lovely jettygirl. Noticed too late that the scraping off didn't reach the gardening fingernails and had to hide them under the table cloth. I was a bit early and enjoyed sitting on the steps at the back of Borders (ten years on and we still think of it as Borders Book Shop). I tried my hand at some street photography. It was fun, but nothing worth posting.
Left jettygirl in Georges Square and shot off at a terrifying speed on the Airport Shuttle bus to meet the Professor. We held hands and waited with bated breath for the arrival of the Very Important Person who has been in Spain for two weeks with the other Granny. He was quietly pleased to see us, but resisted all my chatter and questions on the way home, venturing only a gentle, long suffering smile at his mad Scottish Granny's antics.
More gardening in the evening. Greenhouse watered, onions hoed, last of the foxgloves planted out, another compost bin emptied, two herbaceous borders weeded. What a perfect day. Tomorrow the gale returns.
