Insect

Saw the first ladybird in the garden but perversely, because it was really cute, I prefer this insect. I'm not sure what it is but its wings look ragged so I imagine it isn't long for this world. Is it maybe a flying ant? Hope a blipper can help me.

After a busy day yesterday I went off to bed early even by my standards and slept till nearly 06:00. What a relief. I'm feeling more human today. And, perversely again, I have few demands on my time. It's been an easy morning of pottering in the garden, walking Flora and doing some superficial housework.

I'm about to tackle the rhubarb which a friend kindly brought on Monday and which, to my shame, I'd forgotten. I love rhubarb so how can it have slipped my mind?
