Last Peony Flower
I blipped the first one eight days ago, before leaving for Devon. By now, the petals are dropping off the peony already, and this is the last complete flower on our plant.
The recent heatwave has accelerated nature’s development, so that many flowers only lasted a few days. I was away for less than a week, and still missed the most colourful time of our garden. Its spring is now over; summer is setting in.
So, the heat continues. 28 degrees C right now (it was 30 earlier). We had a forecast for a rainstorm and were looking forward to it, but it never materialized.
In other news, I tested negative today. But as we all know, that doesn’t mean much, after only a day or two.
