Lovely blue sky
A great day with lovely weather.
Started off in Evesham for an appointment and then off to Bourton on the Water. This is a popular tourist stop. Lovely stream and bridges running through the place and it must have the most ice cream shops in the high street compared with all other towns in the area.
Was not tempted with the motor museum or the model village so we headed off to Chedworth Roman Villa which was reached via a narrow country road. Well worth the visit. Mrs Chrispy remembered visiting this site when she was in primary school. So not too long ago.
Interesting site and a really clear exposition of underfloor heating. These Romans were very clever. The Victorians managed to build a hunting lodge in the middle of the ruins.
The Blip was of a lovely cloudy sky at Chedworth.
Had an invite to a private viewing in a gallery in Cirencester this evening so that was our last stop of the day before heading home. Checked out the gallery and decided to give it a miss as the paintings were not our cup of tea. Mrs C managed to do some shopping so it was a great ending to the day.
Home at last to a beautiful sunny evening. So its time to sit in the garden with a glass of wine and enjoy the surroundings.
