View from Scafell

Sca Fell and Slightside were our targets for today.
Achieved after a very long tiring day. The view is from the top of Scafell, looking down on Wastwater to the right and Burnsmoor Tarn. NB this is not Scafell Pike which is the highest mountain in England. But it’s only fourteen metres lower!
Eight to go now but a couple of rest days ahead.
Slightside is interesting as it has the scattered pieces of aircraft involved in a crash in 1941 killing two Polish pilots. 
There’s  a small cross and memorial and still scattered pieces of wreckage.
