surprise…
…pink
blooming
of another amaryllis flower
this one is named - candy floss and i - thought it was - a dud because it - sprouted then stopped - growing about a month ago - nothing was happening - at all even though - i continued to - care for it - then discovered one day - last week that - all the roots had - disengaged from the bulb - i was like ‘what?’ - i’ve never experienced - that with a bulb before - and so i took it - and just gently - placed it into - some water in a - mason jar, a balancing - act so the remaining bulb - wouldn’t get saturated - only the very bottom - and then i left it alone
this morning i went - into my reading - room where i’d left - that jar and got - a really unexpected - pink surprise in the - form of an amaryllis bloom - go figure that a plain - old stalk without - roots to speak of - and a tiny bit of water - would be enough - to activate it - to bloom; it’s left me - a bit befuddled - and wondering if the - other 3 or 4 buds - will also bloom in like fashion - but for now it’s…
a
happy day.....
