History
I had to go to Vallejo to see the flute repairer, and I stopped in Benicia on the way back - I've only been there by sailboat before, and you don't see much of the town when it's the destination in a day-long sailing race.
I visited the lovely brick building that was built as the town hall in 1852, and used as the Statehouse when Benicia was briefly the capital of California in 1853. Some interesting displays, and a characterful town, cooled by the breezes blowing from the Bay into the Delta. It's even relatively affordable, as the commute to where the jobs are is horrible. A couple of exterior shots in the extras.
