Asprokavos

Nothing says welcome to Corfu like a Greek salad and mixed fish, followed by a very strong Greek coffee to counteract the ridiculously early start( got up at 2:30!) due to volume/ delays at the airport. No bags to check ; straight into the security queue right by the check in desks and an hour to get through. At 4am??? Where is every man and his wife going???

However it’s all worth it for that view! Because we had no checked baggage, we were straight out to be met by the rep who gave us some maps and instructions and phone numbers jic. . “ Just follow the yellow markers “ seems to be the mantra!

We then hopped in a taxi for about an hour’s ride south. After breakfast( if coffee and fruit at 5am counts as breakfast ?) , a long time ago it seems , we were delighted to eat lunch in the taverna on arrival.
We’re here at the southern end of Corfu in Asprokavos and walking north each day.
We have arrived on the ideal night as the hotel lays on a Greek evening. We’ve been promised dancing and plate smashing ! Yay!
