Still No Tulips

Holland has a tradition as tulip exporting nation. The season normally starts with the opening of the Keukenhof - a floral fair ground - approx march 21st.

We almost live one month later and I didn't spot one tulip in the fields when I crossed the floral area today! Keukenhof has the first tulips for visitors from all countries to see, but the fields should have been a colorful palette by now.

Tomorrow is the big floral parade (40 kilometer stretch) which will end in Haarlem, my home town, but there was a mayor problem this year. Instead of us exporting tulips, we had to IMPORT them from Africa to decorate the floral parade!!!

Enjoy the tulips, eh... daffodils, just click the 'L' key
