Burnt or chocolate??

I'm making a picnic as a 'Good Bye to Illness' for the kids as Honor & Jude are feeling a little left out on attention as Eden's pox got him a lot more cuddles and kisses.
Anyway, got to the cake making stage and burnt the bloomin things!
I'm hoping when they look at them and say "what's are they?" I can tell them it's chocolate and their meant to be brown.
