Seed Pods. Leitz Elmar-V 65mm with Bellows II

A few days ago, I photographed one of the trees in our garden here, in full Spring regalia of baby leaves and seed pods.  All those pods needed was some good gusts of wind, and they took off to find fertile ground in which to propagate. The little wing-shaped structures travel with a spinning motion.  Some landed on our balcony where I found them and brought in a few for a close-up portrait.  The biggest pods are about 20mm in length. Here they are.
