This evening we enjoyed dinner and the theatre in London - the first time we have done this since before the start of the pandemic. What a joy to experience live theatre again! We went to the Lyttleton at the National Theatre to see an excellent and enjoyable production of Emlyn Williams' The Corn is Green, starring Nicola Walker. A wonderful evening.
The worst part of an evening in London is usually the late night journey home, but even that was uncharacteristically fast and efficient.
I spotted the couple in my blip on South Bank before we went for dinner. I enjoy the momentary expressions a camera can sometimes capture. I reckon the lady here was either whispering a secret to her partner, or she had just remembered that she had left the gas on at home.
