We Can All Be Heroes!

Finally, the Big Burns Supper Festival opening show, postponed from January, meets its audience!

A fabulous, sunny day in Dumfries & Galloway - at Clatteringshaws Dam for the launch of the Environmental Art Festival, then to the lovely CatStrand in New Galloway for inspiring stuff & lastly to Dumfries for We Can Be Heroes at DGOne. It was hard to chose a blip - but pics from the Dam have been used for work purposes anyway!

With c500 cast members, the show was ambitious, funny, unexpected, challenging & touching. Very touching. Tears started before the singing of Caledonia!

I've calculated that, in the last six weeks, I've sobbed in public in the presence of 3 MSPs (2 members of the Cabinet) & the leader of the SNP group at Westminster.

Ah well.
