Beach Walk
Although had booked this week off work, I had offered to go to work today, just because I know there is loads going on. However, a couple of messages to a colleague and she insisted I take my annual leave which I was definitely happy to do. However I was up early, as if going to work, and had been for a pre-work walk – just in case I spent the rest of the day at my laptop. So instead of my laptop I attended to a few chores, then headed out for a run – taking a route I haven’t been on for ages. It was a lovely morning, if a little breezy. BB didn’t appear until late morning.
As I am still on holiday, I popped out to the bagel hut for some lunch- it was either that or a supermarket shop, as TT had let the cupboards get rather empty in our absence. After Lunch I headed over to Dirleton and walked to Yellowcraig and then along the beach to North Berwick and as the tide was coming in, I came back following the John Muir Way. It was a really lovely afternoon, and while there were a few people on the beach, I really didn’t meet many people. I stopped by the supermarket to pick up things for tea – but couldn’t get fennel – first world problems!
BB was out playing football with his chums when I got back, and I had to message him to remind him that he had football training this evening and to make sure he was home in time for that. I did take him to training later and realised that he hasn’t had much football this past couple of weeks due to exams and being away. I hope the season ends soon.
A view to North Berwick Law from my walk. The extra is a ladybird and fairy foxgloves.
