This statue can be seen as a monument, a place to reflect on what is going on during a major event such as the TT in Assen. On both sides of the monument are figurative motors that drive an infinite chain for 90 years.

On one side, the engine is symbolized by an octopus.

On the other side, we see the consequences of progressive technology. The motor - in the form of a speedometer - pushes the participating motors to higher and higher speeds through the chain.
