Kilbryde Castle

I have no vested interest in Scotland’s Garden Scheme apart from being an enthusiastic visitor. The garden scheme is an organised group of garden owners spread over Scotland who want you to enjoy their work. The gardens are a mix of large estates and humbler village and town gardens with two things in common, they are all magnificent and the owners are very proud of their gardens. Some are open to the public most weekends some only a few times a year, the website gives opening times and directions. On Scotland’s Gardens days they charge a fiver a head entry which goes to charity, a bargain. Today we visited Kilbryde Castle, just outside Dunblane, well worth negotiating the 3 miles of single track road.
