Notre Dame

An overcast muggy day in Paris. Lots of people strolling about and picnicking in the parks. Heart-breaking but also uplifting to see the state of Notre Dame. There was an open-air Mass going on in front of the cathedral for the master-bakers of Paris, surrounded by a boulangerie festival :-) Late afternoon I received a message from Eurostar that our evening train was cancelled, so we raced to Gare du Nord to snap up the last remaining seats on an earlier train, which is just leaving.
