Old bikes

And some older bikers too. We had just reached this intersection when we heard the sound of many engines, hurried across in the (too short) green man phase, and saw a long, long line of vintage motorcycles waiting to go.

I’ve been reading ‘Wistons,’ a novel by Sickert’s first wife, which is mentioned in the biography I just read. 

D and C were planning a visit to the Ashmolean but decided that it’s too long for a day trip from where she lives. They’ll go someplace in London instead.
